“Vintage” – the word French, means “old wine stored in cellars for a long time”
Vintage things that have survived since the youth of our grandmothers are becoming more valuable every year. vintage things include furniture and interior items that are more than 20 years old. However, in fact, things of the 20s-30s of the last century are more suitable for this style.
Gray wallpaper, which has a contrasting Art Nouveau pattern along with striped wallpaper, are perfectly combined in the living room. Cracks and slight irregularities on the ceiling surface give a special charm to the interior. A simple plank floor is not boring in this style. Two chairs, between them place the sofa, near the chairs – two identical bedside tables with the same lamps or two floor pedestals, a long coffee table – near the sofa, this situation visually lengthens the room, and pastel tones will increase the area of the room. All furniture should be made of natural materials in combination with unusual fabrics. Small scratches, chips, looseness will only give a highlight of furniture. Massive chimes set near a soft corner sofa. The openwork wool cover is carelessly thrown on the back of the sofa. Photos in frames, ceramic figures, candlesticks, mirrors, shelves – all this gives comfort to the room. In the photo in the frames were the faces of relatives and close people belonging to different generations.
In the bedroom, one-tone textiles are combined with pink wallpaper, on which large bright flowers are located. This is done so that the room does not merge into a single spot. We used parquet for the floor. As upholstery for furniture and facades of cabinets, materials of the color of young grass, sky blue and the color of ash rose are used. Such a spring interior fills the room with fresh energy. Different factual pillows on the bed, carpet on the floor with geometric ornaments add some innocence to the room. Dry flowers, spiny inflorescences placed in rounded large vases adorn the vintage interior. Objects appeared on the dresser.
The kitchen is decorated with old-fashioned floor tiles. The old staircase replaced the metal rails. Viennese chairs with leaked paint, a massive wooden table, the countertop of which is covered with a net of small cracks – all this will not leave the kitchen mistress indifferent. Old theater posters glued directly to the wallpaper successfully complement the full picture of the cuisine in the vintage style.
Vintage – romantic style, warm and cozy. Many people like the idea of combining the spirit of modern and old times, the continuity of generations, realized in the decoration of their own apartment or house.
