PROVENCE
The style of Provence, or “French country,” is very popular today in the interior: it is suitable for people who are tired of ostentatious luxury, who want to add a note of the romance of rural life to the interior, and just refined nature.
The interior can bring light, warmth, pleasant natural shades, inspiring silence, which is so lacking in modern life.
The Provan style was named after the region in southeastern France, where it began its history. Representatives of the French bourgeoisie began to build their houses in the province more and more often. In an attempt to escape the bustle of the city and strict classics, people inspired by the freshness of rural life and the picturesque surrounding landscapes. They designed their houses simply, but with characteristic French elegance. Simplicity, naturalness, charm – all this is reflected in the atmosphere of French country.
We’ll move to the province of France. Going into the living room of the house in the style of Provence, you will be surprised at the sight of the walls: plastered, and the plaster is roughly applied, with bulges and irregularities, with brickwork peering through it. However, they are white, which visually gives the room even more light. On the floor are wooden boards with beveled corners, terracotta color. And the selected decorative ceiling beams make the room visually not only light, but also high. The white doors are decorated with floral paintings. Through the French windows you can look at the garden at least around the clock. The living room represents the French country’s approach to furniture. Soft chairs with armrest, table and shelves merge in harmony. They are connected by a common color scheme of bluish-gray shades. Items of living room furniture have decorative curls. This allows them to rise above strict practicality, but their similar elegance in no way can be called deliberately ostentatious or exaggerated. The overall candelabra on the magazine table not only instantly attracts the attention of any of your guests, but can also serve a well-defined purpose. Everything looks stylish, refined, not catchy.
In the bedroom, the walls are lined with white wooden boards. The unprocessed plank floor gives the room a little negligence. The bright door in the tone of the ceiling is artificially aged. The spacious white bed is covered with linen covering, which gives the room tactile interest. On the sides are modest white dressers. An old French tapestry adorns the wall next to the toilet table. Every item in this room seems to be telling its own story.
Glazed bricks were used to finish the kitchen walls. The tile is light brown. The kitchen headset is made to the tone of wood tiles. Those who gather at this beautiful table, for sure, feel at home at ease and very cozy. The vase with flowers is the undeniable star of this scene. And a vase with fruits, a picture on the wall, a jug decorated with a rooster enhance the general impression, a feeling of suburban life. Plates that can be put on the dining table, if necessary, are in an open rack, which is a natural choice of provence – household items here are given an honorable place, and not hide them behind the doors of cabinets. The drawing in this kitchen is covered with tiny mosaics, which makes the surface visually rougher, which is characteristic of provence in the interior. This feeling is enhanced due to the voluminous elements of the kitchen apron. And the three-dimensional image on the drawing merges so much with the background that you will not notice it until you look carefully. The image of the farm scene on a hand-painted apron above the plate complements the theme, but in a finer, refined form
